Our journey has been long and we have been continuously evolving but we have remained true to our values and principles and that is what has made us who we are today. Explore Sri Lanka started in 1987 under the ownership of Richard Tuttle and Rakesh Wadhwa who were operating casinos including Le Casino at the Meridien rooftop. "Colombo by Night" which, was a popular night entertainment programme at that time was also organised by Explore Sri Lanka.
With the closure of the casinos in 1991, Tuttle and Wadhwas left the country and we took over. The company has grown significantly since then and is now publishing six magazines; Explore Sri Lanka, Business Today, Target, Serendib - the inflight magazine of SriLankan Airlines, The Architect and Vasthu, the English and Sinhala journals of the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects.
BT Options is a locally registered, independent company fully owned and managed solely by us, without any external backing, investment or influence of any kind. We are a young and dynamic team of eighty and we operate in a modern hi-tech Apple Mac environment equipped with the latest technologies and facilities. BT Options continually invests in improving the quality of production and is equipped with state-of-the-art in house pre-press production facilities. The company can also lay claim to the largest Apple Mac environment in Sri Lanka.
The company became the Authorised Reseller and Authorised Service Provider for Apple brand in Sri Lanka in year 2003. BT Options through its experience created gradual interest through promotions, advertising and conversing directly with potential users creating Mac lovers in Sri Lanka offering Apple products to an already established clientele. We opened BT Store in 2006 for Apple Macs, iPods and other related products. The pristine white space and the hi-tech Apple Mac environment as well as the exceptional standard and quality we have maintained is unsurpassed in Sri Lanka.
Furthermore, Explore Sri Lanka, Business Today, Target, Serendib and The Architect each have its own website, which are constantly updated with each issue. All our magazines come in print form, however, we also recognised the importance of moving with new technology while valuing our traditions. Lately as a part of a Go Green venture, the magazines can now be found on App Store. We are taking Sri Lanka to the world.
